Navigation buoys

Our navigation buoys are specially designed for harsh offshore conditions. Made from wear-resistant plastic, they are a durable alternative to metal buoys, with excellent resistance to corrosion, impact and extreme weather conditions.

Production process

The buoys are divided into three parts: the interchangeable top, with a flat or pointed head, the body, and the bottom. These are welded together using plastic welding. They are also subjected to a stress test each time to see if they are ready for the harsh conditions of the sea. During the test, up to 2 tonnes of weight is hung on them to check all the welded joints.

Unique technical specifications

The in-mould graphic is unique: the buoy number is permanently integrated into the surface during the moulding process, preventing it from fading or coming loose.

  • Load capacity up to 2 tonnes thanks to welded connections between buoys.
  • Two tops available: flat & pointed head.
  • The bottom is identical for all buoys.

Moulds

Several moulds are used: one for the bottom and two different ones for the top.

Realisation

The buoys consist of several rotationally moulded parts, which are seamlessly and securely joined by mirror welding without the need for additional fasteners. This ensures a watertight and robust construction.
